After many hours spent staring into the glow of the furnace in the glass studio I am grateful for the calluses that mark my hands. Grateful for the time spent learning. I know I was meant to spend hours staring into that glow. Contemplating. The learning kept me alive in my body through addictions and self destruction. I learned discipline within the commitment to the material and gathered focus in the glass making process. I found love there.
